Lazy K Ranch

www.lazykranch.com

Almost everyone has heard about the Lazy K Ranch in Chowchilla.  They own the Yosemite Trails Pack Station in Fish Camp and supply camp horses from Murphy's all the way down to Pasadena.  Occasionally they will sell horses to make room for the youngsters.  They are very reasonably priced and are well seasoned trail horses.  Their slogan is "our reputation rides on our horses".

If you are in the market for a foal, be sure to attend their "pick a colt day" which is the first Saturday in June.  The foals have impressive pedigrees and are bred for calmness and even temper as they may one day be used in the camp and trail programs.  Even if you are not planning on purchasing at that time, the experience you will have at this event is well worth it.

Trail Rides
Come Ride with the Yosemite Cowboys

What sets us apart?  For starters we raise all of our own stock and, yes, you will be riding a horse - not a mule.  All of our rides cross through streams so you will have the opportunity to feel the exhilaration of riding through water with your horse.  We provide hands-on training along with an arena lesson before you depart on your ride.  Group size is kept small for a more personal experience.  All of our trails make a continuous loop so you won't see the same trail on the way home.  And finally, since we are a small family run business, we are the perfect choice for your family.

Suncakes & Heart Thrives
The perfect trail snack!
 www.suncakes.com

Nutritious, easy to pack, complete protein "lunch" or snack.  More than just a granola bar, these healthy alternatives to heavy lunches come in a variety of flavors including chocolate chip, apricot, poppy seed and cranberry to name a few.  "Suncakes" come one per pack and are very filling!  "Heart Thrives" are vegan and come 2 to a pack.  Beware!  your horse will love them too.
